About
This video describes how Prussian Blue is a medicine that helps remove radioactive cesium and thallium from the body. It works by trapping these materials in the intestines so they can be passed out in bowel movements, making your stool blue. Prussian Blue is only available by prescription and should be taken under a doctor’s care. It does not help with other radioactive materials or protect against outside radiation. Most people can use it safely, but common side effects are upset stomach and constipation. Never use artist’s dye as medicine; only take Prussian Blue given by a doctor.
