About
This journal article describes how even low levels of lead in early childhood can hurt school performance later on. Children with higher lead exposure, even if it is below the level considered dangerous, tend to do worse on tests and have lower grades as they grow up. The study suggests that there is no safe amount of lead for children and that efforts should be made to reduce any exposure to help kids do better in school.
