This journal article describes how emergency departments in Manitoba, Canada were checked to see if they are ready to care for children. The study looked at things like staff training, equipment, and guidelines for treating kids. It found that many hospitals need to improve their readiness so children can get the best care in emergencies. The results suggest more training and better resources are needed to help hospitals be fully prepared for young patients who need urgent medical attention.
