About
This journal article describes how emergency departments in Indian Health Service and tribal hospitals are prepared to care for children. The study found that many of these hospitals need more resources, training, and equipment to give the best care to young patients. It also shows that improving staff education and having special plans for treating children can help make emergency care safer and better for kids in these communities.
