This journal article describes how emergency rooms in US trauma centers are prepared to care for children. Using machine learning, the study looked at which parts of pediatric readiness help save lives. It found that certain factors, like having special equipment and trained staff for kids, are linked to better survival rates. The results suggest that improving these areas can help more children survive after serious injuries or emergencies in hospitals across the country.
