This course teaches coaches, administrators, officials, and students about how to minimize the risk of heat illness during high school sports. The course talks about how to design a heat acclimatization plan, how to adjust activities with changing conditions and how to make sure athletes are hydrated. The basics of recognizing the signs of heat illness and planning for emergencies are also covered, so high school athletes stay safe in the heat.
