About
This review article examines how hospitals can be harmed during disasters, just like other places. Hospitals may lose power, water, or staff and struggle to help patients when they are also affected by the disaster. It explains that even though these problems have happened before, many hospitals still are not fully prepared for future emergencies. The article suggests that more planning and learning from past events is needed so hospitals can keep helping people during disasters.
