About
This article reports on a study that evaluates how well Emergency Medical Services (EMS) workers can spot and help people who are victims of human trafficking. The study tested an online training for EMS staff and found that after the training, they were better at recognizing signs of trafficking and thought they had more knowledge. They also reported seeing more possible cases in their work after the training. The results suggest that special training helps EMS workers notice and help victims sooner, which could improve health and safety for those affected by human trafficking.
