About
This one-page document explains the role of a Prehospital Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator (PECC) in EMS agencies. The PECC helps make sure ambulance staff are ready to care for sick or injured children. They support training, share education materials, encourage practice with pediatric skills, and help follow guidelines. The PECC also works with experts and other agencies to improve care for kids and acts as a contact between the agency and state programs. Each EMS agency should have one person serve as their PECC.
