This article explores three methods of blood transfusion in young pigs to find the best way for children with severe bleeding. It describes using a pressure bag, push-pull method, and LifeFlow Rapid Infuser through veins or bones. The LifeFlow device showed faster blood flow but caused more damage to red blood cells when used in veins. The research aims to improve how doctors give emergency blood transfusions to injured children on battlefields by testing these methods on animals similar in bone density to kids.
