This webpage describes how FEMA and its partners help reunite families after disasters. The National Reunification Committee, led by FEMA, the American Red Cross, and NCMEC, provides support for adults, children, and pets. Team Adam helps law enforcement find missing children quickly. They use technology to share images of missing kids on billboards and online. After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, they helped reunite over 5,000 displaced children with their families. It also highlights the importance of having a family emergency plan to ensure quick communication during disasters for safe reunification efforts across communities nationwide.
