About
This article presents findings from a study on Italian pediatricians' knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors regarding respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and its preventive strategies. The study involved 507 pediatricians surveyed through an online questionnaire. Results showed gaps in understanding RSV transmission and prevention methods, with only a tiny percentage aware of available immunization options. Factors like age, experience, and RSV knowledge influenced attitudes towards preventive strategies. The study highlights the need to enhance education among pediatricians to effectively combat RSV infections, especially in vulnerable age groups like newborns and young children.
