About
A case-based, question-answer style course that should take about 50 minutes to complete. This module also includes a number of serious games to practice knowledge. Upon completion of this module, learners will be able to: * Summarize the purpose of mass casualty triage, both in the field by EMS and in the hospital setting for trauma scenarios. * Outline the basic concepts around the more commonly used mass casualty triage methods and how pediatric patients fit into those triage systems. * Demonstrate an ability to sort pediatric patients into triage categories in a variety of disaster scenarios. * Review basic trauma disaster life-saving skills such as tourniquet application and other hemorrhage control methods. * Identify your own hospital disaster plans, your role in a disaster situation, and ways to advocate for including children in hospital and EMS plans and exercises.Tags
