The Pediatric 15 'til 50 Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) Surge Plan Template was created to augment a current patient surge plan as an annex or to act as a template to assist in developing your facility's pediatric surge plan. The Peds 15 'til 50 MCI Plan template was developed by Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), Pediatric Pandemic Network (PPN), and pediatric Subject Matter Experts from across the county as a pediatric component to the award-winning 15 'til 50 MCI Surge Plan program to help organizations prepare for any mass casualty incident involving children. This plan is designed to enable hospital staff to receive a surge of 50 or more patients within 15 minutes of notification.
