About

This toolkit includes a template that was created to augment a current patient surge plan or to assist in developing a facility's pediatric surge plan. It was developed by Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), Pediatric Pandemic Network (PPN), and pediatric Subject Matter Experts from across the county as a pediatric component to the award-winning 15 'til 50 MCI Surge Plan program to help organizations prepare for any mass casualty incident involving children. This plan is designed to enable hospital staff to receive a surge of 50 or more patients within 15 minutes of notification.
