This systematic review on prehospital airway management assesses the harm and benefits associated with three approaches to airway management used by EMS clinicians in the prehospital environment. It describes how the project started on September 4, 2019, and the review was completed on June 14, 2021. There are links to more information and related research protocols from different dates. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality conducted this work to improve emergency care before patients reach hospitals.
