Massachusetts EMSC has partnered with Open Pediatrics to create an interactive online module to equip healthcare professionals (prehospital providers, nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, and physician assistants) with the essential skills to effectively communicate with and support patients with autism during transport and hospitalization. This highly interactive module is a great resource for onboarding new staff as well as for updating current staff that focuses on providing practical guidance on building rapport, communicating effectively, and creating a supportive environment for autistic patients.
