This clinical tool guides decision-making when caring for critically ill newborns. It describes important information and tools to help medical staff manage these delicate cases effectively. The algorithm is for use in infants 0-28 days and not intended for preterm infants less than 37 weeks. At birth, refer to NRP guidelines. The tool provides tips on recognition, stabilization and further assessment and management of critically ill neonates.
