About
This tabletop exercise (TTX) is designed to evaluate how a healthcare coalition (HCC) responds collectively to a blister agent incident. The exercise focuses on testing elements of the coalition's Chemical Annex, particularly coordination before hospital arrival, managing a surge of patients exposed to chemicals, and collaboration among response partners. It emphasizes the roles of hospitals, public health agencies, emergency management, and emergency medical services (EMS). Participants examine how these groups support and coordinate with the healthcare system during a chemical emergency. Overall, the exercise helps identify strengths, gaps, and improvements needed in chemical incident preparedness and response.
