This article describes updated estimates from the World Health Organization for the prevalence of mental disorders in conflict-affected settings and calculates the burden per 1000 population. The burden of mental disorders such as depression, anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia is high in conflict-affected populations. The article discusses the need to implement scalable mental health interventions to address this burden.
