This article explores how disasters like floods affect children, especially in Lorestan province, Iran. It describes a study using interviews and drawings from 34 children to understand their experiences during floods. The findings show that while disasters can harm children physically and mentally, they also offer learning opportunities for future preparedness. The research highlights the importance of understanding children's experiences to improve disaster planning and reduce vulnerability for future generations. Overall, it emphasizes both challenges and growth opportunities for children facing natural hazards.
