This webinar discusses a fire and evacuation at the Children's Hospital in Winnipeg. The event happened in March 2013, starting with a fire alarm triggered by an arsonist. Staff quickly evacuated 121 patients, including babies and sick children, within an hour. Parents helped carry their children to safety. The hospital staff worked together with security and emergency services to manage the situation effectively. Afterward, support was offered to staff for emotional recovery. Lessons learned included improving emergency plans and equipment access for future incidents. Overall, it highlights teamwork during a challenging crisis at the hospital.
