This course equips pediatricians with the skills to identify and respond to childhood trauma and traumatic stress, emphasizing the importance of relational health in child development. Building on foundational trauma-informed care concepts, it offers practical strategies for regulating caregivers, recognizing trauma symptoms across different age groups, and understanding when psychotropic medications are indicated. The course also addresses how caregiver trauma, stress, and substance use can disrupt caregiving networks.
