Following the WHO’s declaration of a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on August 14, 2024, the U.S. has been actively monitoring and preparing for potential cases. The Biden-Harris Administration has established an incident response structure, increased diagnostic testing, and distributed over one million JYNNEOS vaccine vials. The U.S. also provides financial and technical support to affected countries, including $55 million in aid and 50,000 vaccine doses to the DRC, to help control the outbreak and prevent its spread.Tags
