About
This article outlines a priority-setting exercise to identify key research areas for future pandemic preparedness. Using the CHNRI method, 80 global health experts proposed 163 research ideas, which were scored based on predefined criteria. Top priorities included strengthening health systems, rapid vaccine and treatment production, international cooperation, and improving surveillance. A comparison with ChatGPT's research priorities revealed both similarities and differences, with ChatGPT's suggestions being more theoretical and the CHNRIās being based on practical experiences from the COVID-19 pandemic. The findings highlight the complementary value of human and AI-generated insights for improving pandemic preparedness and response.Tags
