This article examines the management of pediatric casualties following a mass casualty incident during the 2021 Shavuot holiday in Israel, where a collapse at a synagogue led to numerous pediatric victims. The study compared post-incident management across three medical centers in Jerusalem, revealing significant differences in triage, treatment protocols, and outcomes. With most patients suffering orthopedic injuries, the study underscores the importance of tailored disaster protocols for children. The findings emphasize the necessity of improved pediatric disaster medicine training programs to enhance consistency in triage, documentation, and overall management of pediatric mass casualty incidents.
