About
This article explores the impact of prehospital Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) triage simulation on medical students, residents, and fellows. The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of this simulation in enhancing participants' knowledge of triage algorithms and boosting their confidence in managing MCI responses. Through pre-post surveys, the research found significant improvements in participants' understanding of triage colors, pediatric airway management, and CPR protocols. Moreover, the simulation sessions increased the participants' confidence levels in assisting with and leading MCI responses. Overall, the study highlights the benefits of simulated practice in preparing medical trainees for real-life MCI scenarios.
