A review analyzed psychological interventions for anxiety, depression, and posttraumatic stress in youth after natural/biologic disasters. 45 studies were examined, with most focusing on COVID-19. Common interventions were Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Results showed reduced symptoms with these methods, but not with yoga or other approaches. Future recommendations include larger studies with diverse interventions for children, considering gender and race/ethnicity.
