This video is a recording of a Webinar hosted by OSHS within ED and its REMS TA Center on January 19, 2018. The topic discussed was managing donations and volunteers before, during, and after emergency events affecting school communities. Presenters covered integrating donation and volunteer management into emergency operations plans, highlighting key concepts and operational considerations. Lessons learned from Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, as well as the 2011 tornado in Joplin School District, were shared to provide insights from both Federal and local perspectives. The session aimed to enhance preparedness for handling donations and volunteers in emergency situations.
