This webinar explains how schools can manage donations and volunteers during emergencies. It describes the importance of planning for both needed supplies and unexpected offers. Presenters covered integrating donation and volunteer management into emergency operations plans, highlighting key concepts and operational considerations. Lessons learned from Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, as well as the 2011 tornado in Joplin School District, were shared to provide insights from both Federal and local perspectives. The session aimed to enhance preparedness for handling donations and volunteers in emergency situations.
