About
This article describes using robots for remote medical help during disasters to care for injured children. In 2008, two drills in Los Angeles tested this idea: a train crash and an earthquake simulation. Pediatric specialists used robots to provide advice from afar. The study found that while the technology worked well, it wasn't fully utilized due to lack of awareness among staff. Telemedicine can support local medical teams by offering expert guidance when specialists can't be on-site, helping manage resources better during emergencies involving children.
