About
This study evaluated the response of a rural hospital in Norway to a mass casualty incident at a political youth camp caused by a terrorist attack. The incident resulted in 69 deaths and 60 injuries. The hospital triaged and treated 35 patients, admitting 18. They quickly treated 22 patients within an hour, with 13 requiring trauma team activation. Various scans and procedures were conducted, but no deaths occurred. The experience highlighted the need for revision in major incident plans, especially in communication and radiological services organization.
