Disaster Olympics: A Model for Resident Education

This observational study describes an educational method that was used to teach American emergency medicine physicians disaster medicine through an "Olympic Games" style drill. The study involved 82 emergency medicine residents at a center in Brooklyn, New York. Post-test scores were significantly higher than pre-test scores, showing improved knowledge. The model proved effective in evaluating performance and protocols, enhancing emergency preparedness.
