About
This article describes a study on using a game-like event called "Disaster Day" to teach medical students and emergency medicine residents about disaster medicine. The event included different stations with tasks related to handling mass casualty incidents (MCIs). Participants showed improved knowledge and confidence in managing real MCIs after the event. All participants agreed that the gamified approach was an effective learning tool. The study suggests that such interactive methods can enhance motivation and learning in medical education, especially for preparing healthcare professionals for emergencies like natural disasters or accidents.
