About
This review examined research on improving teenagers' disaster knowledge and problem-solving skills. It describes how disaster education in schools is important but often not enough. While some school programs improve knowledge and skills, they don't always lead to behavior changes needed for survival. The best results come from combining lessons at school with activities involving family and the community. There's a need for stronger efforts to teach teens how to prepare for disasters effectively so they can stay safe when emergencies happen.Tags
