About
This study examines the effects of the 2015 Nepal earthquakes on mothers and young children six months after the disaster. It found that delayed government response and ongoing fuel crisis hindered families' ability to provide essential care and resources. This research highlights the need to consider social and political factors in long-term maternal and child health recovery post-disaster. It suggests that future research should regularly check on maternal, newborn, and child health in disaster-affected areas over several years to better understand these impacts.
