The study measures surgery time, hospital stay length, and staff hours needed per burn size. It finds that more surgery is needed for larger burns and provides a formula to predict this need. The first week requires the most surgery time, while nursing hours stay constant. This information helps plan for emergencies by predicting patient care needs based on existing workloads during a burn disaster.
