About
This study assessed the impact of a tabletop exercise on pediatric preparedness during public health emergencies. 22 people participated in the exercise: 12 pediatricians and 10 public health officials from the 5 states in Federal Region VI (Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas). They worked together on a smallpox outbreak scenario and identified over 100 strategies to enhance communication and collaboration, boosting their knowledge and confidence in handling such emergencies. The exercise highlighted the importance of collaboration between pediatricians and public health officials.Tags
