The article describes a study on how to best care for and protect children in crisis situations. Thirty experts took part in a Delphi consultation, which involved three phases of gathering and reviewing ideas. They agreed on 55 important statements that focus on using available resources, being inclusive, and involving communities. The study highlights the importance of resilience theory, social ecology, and cultural sensitivity but suggests more use of developmental theory is needed. It also calls for more research by scientists from different cultures to help improve practices for helping children in need.
