Improving Disaster Preparedness of Families With a Parenteral Nutrition-Dependent Child

This study aimed to improve disaster preparedness for families with parenteral nutrition (PN)-dependent children in California, considering the frequent earthquakes in the region. By providing personalized disaster survival toolkits and education, families showed significant improvements in emergency planning, supply kits, information forms, and confidence levels for handling disasters. The individualized approach was effective in increasing readiness and confidence among families with PN-dependent children.
