About
This video, with Enric Tarradellas, Kofi Annan, and Zhang Xiaoye, explains how sand and dust storms form, the negative health effects dust storms can have on people, and how authorities are able to forecast dust storms in order to provide timely warnings for vulnerable and isolated communities. During the video, the World Meteorological Organization advocates for collaboration between nations and local organizations for capacity building that could in turn help the health of even more communities, especially as dust storms become more prevalent due to climate change.
