About

The article describes the efforts of a Chinese Red Cross medical team during the 2015 Nepal earthquake. They set up a field hospital to treat children under 18. Over seven days, they treated 108 pediatric patients, mainly for respiratory and gastrointestinal infections. The injuries mostly needed surgical dressing and cleaning, with no severe fractures or brain injuries found. It highlights the importance of planning for non-disaster-related conditions in rescue missions after earthquakes to ensure proper care is provided to affected children in such emergencies.
