About
The study aimed to assess the adherence of school transportation staff and school buses to safety recommendations for transporting children. A questionnaire was sent to school transportation staff, with 558 responses analyzed. Most responders had training in first aid but lacked training in managing emergencies like severe allergic reactions or cardiac arrest. While a majority of buses had safety equipment like seat belts and first aid kits, there were gaps in immediate access to critical emergency items. The study highlighted the need to educate staff on pediatric emergencies, ensure proper safety equipment, and familiarize them with emergency protocols for disasters.Tags
