This study surveyed hospitals across the United States (US) to assess their disaster preparedness for pediatric patients. Findings showed that most hospitals included pediatric patients in their plans. Hospitals with a designated pediatric disaster planner were more comprehensive in addressing pediatric care in their disaster plans, involving special healthcare needs, simulated patients, and decontamination procedures.Tags
