This articles introduces and describes a voluntary Disaster Medicine Certificate Series (DMCS) for medical students to provide training in this area where it is often lacking. The program includes activities on various topics like active shooter training and mass-casualty triage. Results show positive feedback from students, highlighting the effectiveness of community partners in providing education and training. The DMCS model proves to be an innovative approach to disaster medicine education for medical students.
