About
This study looked at healthcare workers' willingness to respond during emergencies, specifically earthquakes. A questionnaire was distributed to Israeli healthcare workers, revealing that female nurses under 40 were the most absenteeism-prone during earthquakes. Factors like professional commitment and perception of efficacy strongly influenced willingness to respond. The research suggests that understanding these factors can help hospitals prepare better for disasters by addressing concerns and supporting staff needs, such as family care during emergencies.
