About
This study assessed guardian willingness to share children's personal information for reunification after disasters, based on a survey of parents who presented with a child at hospital emergency departments in either Boston, Massachusetts or St. Louis, Missouri. Most guardians were willing to share some information but had concerns about privacy and abuse. Hospitals were trusted more for reunification over other agencies. Trust in agencies and perceived importance of reunification were linked to willingness to share information.
