About
This study examined how prepared child care center directors were for pandemic influenza in 2008 and 2016. The survey found that readiness was low both years, with only 7% of directors taking concrete steps to prepare. Experience during the 2009 H1N1 pandemic did not improve preparedness. Factors like having health consultants and director experience helped, while barriers such as not knowing what to do hindered readiness. It suggests that child care centers need better preparation plans and highlights the importance of health consultants in improving these efforts.
