The article describes the challenges of providing medical care at electronic dance music (EDM) festivals. It highlights that current models used to predict medical needs at these events are often inaccurate. The study reviewed three EDM festivals and found that existing prediction models either underestimated or overestimated patient encounters and transport rates. The authors suggest creating a better incident action plan to improve data collection and address these unique challenges in mass-gathering medical care, ensuring more accurate planning for future events.
