About
This study considered tabletop exercises to improve pediatric disaster response in 5 Connecticut hospitals. 27 participants in the exercises included emergency medical services (EMS) personnel, nurses, physicians, and hospital administrators. By using action figures, participants simulated disaster scenarios and evaluated communication and readiness. The exercises identified gaps in surge capacity and capability, highlighting the need for further education and planning to enhance disaster preparedness.Tags
