This article evaluated a disaster preparedness program for charge nurses in a large pediatric hospital. A task force standardized disaster response procedures and developed a tabletop simulation exercise for charge nurses, resulting in improved knowledge, confidence, and effectiveness in disaster preparedness. Participants suggested more frequent or department-specific education.
